The Enhanced EDvance Program
The EDvance School Improvement Program focuses on building the capacity of school leadership teams to lead change, implement effective teaching practices, improve school culture and ultimately, improve student outcomes.
As the Australian education landscape changes, we recognise that schools face many challenges that affect their ability to successfully implement school improvement.
With this in mind, in 2026 we incorporated two Classroom Mastery programs into EDvance – meaning that all staff in Cohort 14 schools will have access to in-school professional learning and coaching on classroom management strategies and high impact instruction.
How Will it Work in Your School?
Principal and Leadership Team
Your school leadership team will attend 16 workshops over 3 years, which are designed to help you lead and sustain change. We will support you in creating and tracking strategic plans and you will increase your capacity to embed whole-school teaching and behaviour programs. You will also receive tools to help you foster a healthy school culture and we will challenge you to build high-performing teams.
Staff
Staff will have an input in determining the school’s moral purpose. They will use diagnostic tools to share their perspectives on the health of the school. Professional learning sessions on classroom management and high impact instruction will take place in school, on staff development days. Staff will also receive coaching to ensure practices are adopted with fidelity.
Access to Experienced Mentors
Throughout the course of the program, the leadership team will be supported by a mentor who serves as a critical sounding board. Our mentors are highly regarded past principals and education leaders.
Using Data to Inform Practice
You will track your data to inform ongoing planning, monitor outcomes and ensure that your improvements are having an impact on student outcomes.
