Beenyup Primary is an Independent Public School in Byford, WA, which caters for children from Kindergarten to Year Six. Beenyup proudly opened its gates in 2020. The name of our school acknowledges the original Noongar name of Byford and means ‘place of water’. Our official artwork, created by Rosie Paine (pictured below), tells our story. The central dotted circle symbolises Beenyup Primary, the heart of our community, and reflects the meaning of our name, ‘place of water’. We celebrate the connection between our students, families, educators and the wider community represented as U shapes surrounding our school. The colours depict the Noongar seasons, symbolising the connection with the land.
